Subway Steak And Cheese

A SMALL MIRACLE IN THE AMAZON.

We had several hours surfing, tropical rain had been unleashed on our boats with unprecedented violence over and over again, hardly breathe, to throughout the afternoon and we were, despite capelines absolutely soaked from head to toe. No, it was not hot, cold rather enhanced by sticky humidity, I was chattering teeth from time to time.

Certainly, the "fun" tour this small tributary Amazon, had ceased to be after four or five hours of exposure to the elements. The potential reward of seeing a few crocodiles live and live a long time ago and I barely even less motivated and seeing the face of suffering that many of those who accompanied me in the boat wore a rigid mask. In addition it was getting dark and the efforts of our guides did not get more results than one failure after another.

At the time the lights Day and night are equal, hundreds of bats of considerable size, a large flock flew around us, turning to their place of sleep, or vice versa, for provisions, were certainly impressive moments not without some discomfort, long fingers are Bram Stocker as up there in the middle of this paradise, arrived.
Slowly, the darkness prevailed and although the rain stopped, momentarily, feeling cold grew up to be really annoying, in that winter Amazon. The constant cacophony produced by the somewhat chaotic squawks hundreds of birds competing out loud, with dozens of monkeys of various species, we were taking a breather, as they was getting dark.
In light of outbreaks heroically put up with our guides on the bow of the boat, hundreds of insects appeared briefly illuminated for only a few moments later absorbed by the darkness, some of them -as we explained, were really dangerous and very painful bite, even on one occasion dropped the focus for violent gestures rid of one of the most dangerous was dazzled attracted or trapped in any part of your body.
the rain returned, while our boat ran miles and miles in increasingly shallow rivers, occasionally surprising us unpleasantly with the sharp run-in with a black stone, or the beating of a trunk lateral drift.
Perhaps the hardest time when the forces - and his patience began to acabárseme, wishing with all my heart that the "outing" end, there was one of the hottest shows wonderful to those who have attended in my life with gratitude and will keep forever in my memory.
Have you seen the movie "Avatar" from James Cameron? (Btw I can not but be advised). Do you remember the night tour to the inexperienced solo and become Na'vy marine ago by Pandora? Remember the bioluminescence that spans vast forest that is Pandora? Let us see what we can remember:

For though you believe it or not, those images suddenly reproduced before our eyes, causing a huge admiration ... obviously without all those special effects, of course! . In a long journey perhaps four or five minutes, thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of fireflies lit up the banks of the river on both sides of the boat, the jungle night seemed to take new life, giving a touch of magic, unreal, I might dare to call it supernatural.

Strangers a yellow-green light flashes, beating wisps that seemed to synchronize with each other now here, below there, there are flashes of high intensity or long trips by air, at night writing cryptic messages with strange alphabets winding, illegible.

also moving at a certain speed of the boat, cut paths from one to another side, up, creating impossible angles protruding in the dark and remained even when the eyes are not seeing them.
I have regretted a thousand times not to be shot - or at least photographed-that time, but I was falling I dared not take the camera bag, but then ... , though I have looked on the net have not been able to find almost anything that might serve to remember those moments, except perhaps the following:

So Big Brother - in the jungle it is much larger in size and abundance of a little insect that does not much was common in our gardens, light pollution, among other things, is the cause of the reduction of these "bugs" - such as fireflies, is responsible for one of the most beautiful natural events which I have witnessed.

And what is special about Firefly? Well, as some other animals and plants emits its own light is called bioluminescence and is caused by a chemical called luciferin "(¡),

according to wiki: "Lucifer is a kind of pigment responsible for light emission in some bacteria, algae, fungi and animals (well to contain this pigment, or to have endosymbiotic bacteria that do). An example is the luminescence of fireflies. These pigments are the substrate of enzymes called luciferases , which carried out the oxidative decarboxylation of luciferin (using oxygen (O 2), which causes the production of light. "

is because l as small things that are also part of our planet and are present in our daily lives but often go unnoticed are absolutely fascinating. The challenge of this blog and so many other lovers of nature, is to bring the tiny world of people who barely know him, so they learn to respect and if possible to love them.
fireflies As a tribute to those who managed to Amazon for a few moments to make me forget the cold, the discomfort and fatigue I propose take a look at a few of these unknown neighbors, owners of a beauty outside our usual fees and tastes even able to raise fears of those who can not see beyond appearances.

approach photography or macro is an excellent tool Knowledge of this tiny world and how we advise fans she advised, " total respect for nature must always be above the results we seek. Therefore, from here we insist on working with the utmost care not to damage or endanger the species are going to shoot. Here the end justifies the means. "
Then I leave a presentation with some of the macro photography I find most beautiful, the array of those neighbors with whom we share space, water, air and earth,

Well, as always, I hope you find it interesting.
